What does it mean to you to #WriteYourOwnStory this Holiday Season? What does it mean to have the Holiday that you want, need, desire?
During this most wonderful time of the year, rushing around to get everything done, we can tend to forget about what we want out of our own holidays. And I don’t mean material things. Hell no. Adults can buy their own things throughout the year.
What I mean is, when you think of the enjoyment of your Holidays, what does that mean to you? Emotionally? Physically? What do want to feel? Where do you want to be? Who do you want to be with? What do you want to be doing? Looking at past Holidays and the one coming up, do the pictures match of what you want and what you experience?
Now, I understand Holidays are about giving. 100%. But that doesn’t mean you have to give away yourself. It’s the season of giving, not giving in… And that statement will mean something different for everyone, so I’m not going to write in any connotation. However, now that you’re thinking on it, what does it mean to you? Do you forsake yourself for all others, all the time? Who really is writing your own story? You? Or someone/everyone else?…
If you find yourself in this boat of uncertainty about just who is writing your story, your life, I ask you this…
If you were to Write Your Own Story for this Holiday Season, what would it look like? And, if the picture doesn’t match reality, how much of a gap is there to get the Holiday you desire? And what could YOU do to get your Holiday to be closer to what you dream it to be?
Remember, when you write our own stories, YOU are in charge of you. Doesn’t mean you’re bossy or selfish, it just means you are no longer doing everything for everyone at the detriment of yourself. You’re taking into consideration your own wants and ideas and not just giving up and giving in.
Think on these things as you go about your Holiday. And if these thoughts bring things up for you that you’d like to talk about, book a call with me. I work with people to get them to where they want to be
